Flint Creek Valley Bank
branched into the community
of Butte in March of 1999. The
branch was named Granite
Mountain Bank after the

"Phishing" scams are typically bogus mail
messages that ask you to “update your
financial information” for legitimate
companies such as eBay, Paypal, Citibank,
financial institutions, FDIC, etc. The e-mail
will look legitimate with the correct logos
and tedious customer service language and
a link to update your account. The link
however, sends you to a fake site mimicking
the real site and asks for you name,
address, social security number, mother’s
maiden name and password. These are the
items that criminals use to steal your
identity. The criminal then uses this data
to work on your account balance, credit.
